Me Macros is a personal calorie and macronutrient tracking app published by Keith Brown (“we,” us”). This policy explains what happens with information when you use the iOS app.

Summary

Your food log, body metrics, and goals stay on your device. The app is built for on-device use. We do not operate an account server that receives your meals, weight, photos, or profile for storage or analysis.

Information processed on your device

Depending on how you use the app, Me Macros may store locally on your iPhone or iPad:

• Profile details you enter (for example age, sex, height, weight, training level, and goals)

Daily calorie and macro targets and remaining totals

• Food log entries, recipes, meals, water, and workout notes you add

• Optional meal photos you attach for your own reference (kept on device; not uploaded for recognition)

• App preferences (units and similar settings)

This information is used only to run the features you use in the app (targets, logging, reports). It is not sold.

Information we do not collect

We do not require you to create an online account to use core tracking. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your food log or body metrics for third-party advertising. Meal photos are not sent to an external recognition service by the app as shipped.

Device permissions

If you choose features that need them, iOS may ask for permissions such as camera or photo library access so you can attach a meal photo. You can deny or later revoke those permissions in iOS Settings. Denying them does not block basic manual logging.

Crash and system data

Apple may collect limited diagnostic or App Store analytics as part of operating iOS and the App Store, under Apple’s own policies. That is controlled by Apple, not by a Me Macros backend.

Children

Me Macros is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app to submit a childs personal information.

Data retention and deletion

Because tracking data stays on your device, you control it. You can delete entries in the app, clear app data, or delete the app to remove locally stored information. Uninstalling the app removes local Me Macros data from that device (subject to any device backups you keep).

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
